Bertani

The Bertani Winery was founded in 1857 by brothers Giovan Battista and Gaetano Bertani, in Quinto di Valpantena, north of Verona. High-level professionalism, quality, business acumen and spirit of innovation all make up the winery's philosophy.

In the mid-20th century, with the purchase of Tenuta Novare in Valpolicella Classica, Bertani put into effect the 50-year-long search to produce a wine made to last for ever, which is how Amarone della Valpolicella began. Bertani's first Amarone vintage dates from 1958.
