Fèlsina

Felsina is located between the southeast edge of the Chianti Classico growing area and the land of the Crete, not far from Siena. The Poggiali family purchased the small estate in 1966 at a time when Italian viticulture was struggling, and brought it to the present 500 hectares, 94 of which are in vineyard, and to its annual production nudging half a million bottles.

With their commitment to work ethic and respect of Tuscan and Italian culture, to sustainable and organic farming, to untiring research into the Sangiovese variety, they gained Fèlsina its identification with its growing area and its ranking among the producers of the highest quality of Chianti Classico wines.

The continuity of the Fèlsina enterprise finds its guarantee in grandson Giovanni Poggiali, the general manager, who since 1990, has played an active role in the wine operation.
