Seña | Viñedo Chadwick

In 1995, Napa Valley pioneer Robert Mondavi and president of Viña Errázuriz, Eduardo Chadwick, embarked upon the Chilean wine industry’s first strategic alliance to create a unique wine that would capture the spirit of the land and the grapes that grow on it.

Seña is a Bordeaux blend, where the base of Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure, while the Carmenere contributes the wine's Chilean identity. Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot complete the composition.

The beautiful 42-hectare hillside vineyard of Seña is on the western side of the Aconcagua Valley, 41km from the Pacific Ocean and 100km north from Santiago. The layout of the vines enhances the conservation of the native ecosystems, in accordance with the biodynamic principles under which it has been farmed since 2005.

Viñedo Chadwick represents the Chadwick family’s long cherished desire to honour the memory of the late Don Alfonso Chadwick Errázuriz with an Ultra Premium red wine showcasing the ancestry, tradition, and expertise of the Chadwick-Errázuriz family for producing fine wines.

Viñedo Chadwick is made of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Since its inaugural release, it has consistently received the highest praise and recognition, it was the winner of the Berlin blind tasting in 2004, it has been named a Decanter Wine Legend and it was Chile’s first wine to ever be awarded 100 points.
